Sean grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where his many family pets taught him his love for animals. He received a BS in biology from Ball State University in 2010. After graduation, he took an additional semester studying ecology in South Africa. Following his passion for animals, he worked in a pet store, a science lab, and the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, where he trained monkeys, and cared for giraffes and other African animals. He has worked as a veterinary assistant since 2015. He has always had a passion for herpetology, and now lives in Chicago with his wife, Momo, his bearded dragon, Smaug, his frogs, Michigan and Slippy, his snakes, Rorschach and Morpho, and his geckos, Pazuzu and Kit Fisto.
