    I HAVE BEEN USING THIS VET SINCE I WAS A KID, AND FOR A GOOD REASON. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN GREAT. OVER THE YEARS, I THINK I HAVE DEALT WITH ALL THE VETS IN THE PRACTICE AND THE ARE ALL PROFESSIONAL AND TALENTED. OF THE THINGS THAT HAVE IMPRESSED ME HAVE BEEN SAVING MY DAD”S CANARY WITH JAUNDICE, HELPING REHABILITATE A GERBIL FROM A STROKE AT 3YRS OF AGE (AVERAGE MAX LIFE EXPECTANCY USUALLY 24MO. THIS GERBIL LIVED TO 5 YEARS), HELPING MY GUINEA PIG AFTER A FALL WITH A BROKEN BACK LIVE A PRODUCTIVE LIFE AS A PARAPLEGIC, AND TAKING CARE OF URINARY TRACT CRYSTALS ON MY CURRENT CAT THAT COULD HAVE KILLED HIM IF NOT FOR THEM. THEY ARE ALSO GOOD WITH THE ROUTINE SHOTS AND EXAMS.
    THEY ARE GREAT AT FITTING IN EMERGENCIES, BUT BECAUSE OF THIS SOMETIMES THE WAITING ROOM WAIT FOR REGULAR APPOINTMENTS IS A LITTLE LONG.

    WE HAVE BEEN GOING TO THIS CLINIC FOR YEARS AND WOULD NOT CONSIDER GOING ELSEWHERE! EVEN THOUGH IT IS A 45 MINUTE DRIVE (IN GOOD CONDITIONS) FOR US WE COMPLETELY TRUST OUR PETS’ CARE TO THESE PEOPLE! DR. SAKAS, THE OWNER, IS WONDERFUL AND SO ARE HIS STAFF–IF HE IS EVER UNAVAILABLE WE NEVER FEEL HESITANT ABOUT ACCEPTING CARE FROM OTHERS. EVERYBODY WE HAVE DEALT WITH OVER THE YEARS IS MORE THAN PROFESSIONAL! AND IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THESE PEOPLE LOVE ANIMALS AND THEIR JOBS! THOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT GET IN EXACTLY ON TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT, THE ATTENTION RECEIVED ONCE YOU ARE SEEN IS PHENOMENAL–SO PERSONABLE AND THOROUGH!

    Niles is thorough and the doctors take their time with each patient. It is not easy finding a vet that handles exotic pets, but my African Grey is well taken care of here. The tests do not seem terribly expensive, and they are on site, so I don’t have to go home and worry about them. Dr. Sakas knows his stuff and never makes me feel like a question is silly.

    We brought our dog here recently for his annual physical and shots. They first weighed him then they gave him a parasite test, then they checked all over his body, including his coat and paws. When they were finished they gave him distemper and a rabies shot. They are quite reasonable and very helpful. They take excellent care of our dog and the place is very clean and well kept. I don t have a problem whatsoever referring them to others and we will continue to use their services.

    I have a Gold Cap Conure and took him to Dr. Sakas to get his wings and beak clipped. His claws were trimmed too. This service was done the same day.

    This hospital has a special section for only birds, which is very hard to come by. The staff is great and I love that they do every service thought of for birds. The only problem I have with them is the extremely long wait. Since they specialize in birds, they are always busy.

    My cocker spaniel was so sick and we weren’t sure he was going to make it. It turned out he had very bad teeth. They ended up pulling most of his teeth on this visit. He of course, needed anesthetic and antibiotics.
    There are excellent vet doctors at this hospital. I take in a lot of shelter dogs and they know me well. I get appointments quickly too. They have an excellent bird specialist there as well. He has taken care of many of my birds over the years and he is great at it. It is hard to find a good bird doctor.
